Special dishes: We tried 2 type of hairy crab, salt and peper, and ginger with soy saurce. The sweet and soar fish was also very good. Stewed beef was wrapped in hay and cooked for hours, the texture was very good and soft, not hard to chew at all. For deserts, we had one green bean and one sesame jelly made into fish shape.

Review: Nice decoration and comfortable seating. Tea came in individual pots, everyone has his/her own pot. The service was pretty good. All the dishes were all deliciously, but hairy crabs were out of season so they were kind of small, maybe in two months time. We were surprised that it only cost us around HKD150 each.

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts

Cuisine: American Snacks in Causeway Bay

Price: HK$30-40 (coffee + doughnuts)

61-73 Lee Garden Road, Causeway Bay
Tel. 2890 6263

I ordered original favour (HK$10/pc) & Maple Iced Glazed favour (HK$12/pc).
They were too sweet for me, even the original favour, so I couldn't finish.
The ice coffee (HK$30) was just ok as I forgot to ask for No Whip Cream.
There were many students there when I visited in the afternoon, too noisy and thus I prefer to take away.
I still prefer Mister Donut but couldn't find in HKG.

Have been there several times.
Quite many special dishes.
I especially like their xiao long bao which is juicy, taste good, very thin-pastry but not easy to break, quite easy to handle.
Many choices for dim sum and noodles with reasonable price, easy to share among couples.
Good to book in advance for big 12-ppl round tables or window seats facing Time Square.

The interior design looks like a typical French restaurant. As the name suggests, steak is its specialty. But it is quite pricy...

Review: This is an upstair private kitchen type of French restaurant. The rooms are flexibly arranged, partition with curtains and thin old Hong Kong housing estate style plank. Soft lighting that goes with the Marron (brown colour). Each room has long table, full of old European style decoration. Friendly staff. A variety of choice on a 6-course menu, the portion is pretty big for each course, I suggest you really go there with an empty stomach. We had seafood soup, crab soup, foie gras, canard duck, crab, escargot, lamb, desserts, tea and much more. We came here for friends' engagement party and everyone had a great time! With such good quality of food and in such big portion too. It was very good value for money.

Joanne's update:
Some items on the 6-course menu require extra cost, depending on your choice, your bill ranges from $298 - 400. Weekend is always booked for party. If you want quiet atmosphere, go on weekday.

Special dishes: Kalbi (beef spare ribs), spicy sauces

Review: I like the BBQ especially Kalbi. The seafood pancake and fried 'noodle strip' with pork are good too.
However, it has too few waiters/waitresses.
