Farfalle

French in Central

Price per person HKD300+

There are now quite a few restaurants in Gough, we picked Farfalle, as we were told that the chef used to work for Ritz Carlton overseas. The food was nice but a bit pricy. The dessert plate was a nice surprise. The king prawn pasta was pretty tasty. The soup was good too.

Being at IFC, this restaurant is a bit on the pricey side as expected, the food and tea/coffee are pretty good. Somehow being on the 2nd floor instead of the podium floor (where most traffic concentrate) means that it is seldom fully occupied and thus it is a nice choice if you want to be sure to get a table. Sit by the edge with a view of the podium floor, it is quite fun watching people busily walking in and out of IFC.

Nice French Restaurant, a pleasant surprise, we found this restaurant as it is in the same building that I do boxing. I quite like the sweet pork, the nice seafood soup.

Review:
We had oysters (gigas + island pacific). I prefer island pacific for the creamy texture. Potato Leek soup, Escargot, Lobster pasta. White wine: L&E Blanc Bordeaux. Classic atmosphere, something like an old french restaurant with high ceiling. It's quiet before 8:30pm on Saturday. We enjoyed this meal very much. As the name suggests, it has good seafood selection on the menu. Wine list is so so.

D and I's Review:
Now owned by a Japanese lady who makes very delicious French cakes, we have tried at least 5 types over 2 visits. The cakes went well with tea, coffee or other drinks. I particularly like the interior design of this cafe. It is a good place to meet friends. The only drawback is not enough snacks, come here only for desserts and drinks.

Good to have a mid-priced restaurant at Cyberport. The quality is okay. Not extraordinary. The afternoon tea set is pretty good value for money. And it is quite comfy place to sit around.
