不去會死 Dying to go!
Author: Yusuke Ishida 石田裕輔
Have you ever thought about where the most beautiful place is in the world according to your own definition? This Japanese author cycled around the world for 7+ years to search this place. His encounters reveal his emotions to different places and people, the beautiful and ugly side of humanity and "a world" that you probably do not have a chance to see during your life time.
I found the title echoes my inner voice as a passionate traveller. We travel as if we will die tomorrow. I truely admire his courage to embark on such an adventurious journey. It actually reactivates my travel DNA when feeling drained after work.

Book introduction:
A shocking scientific discovery by NASA has such profound implication that it will be used as a political chip in the White house race...
My review:
I have read 3 other Dan Brown's novels, they are all very gripping, Deception Point's story somehow is now as intense and it doesn't have the same effect as the others - wanting to know what happen next! Nonetheless it is a very entertaining book for leisure reading.

Into Thin Air
Into Thin Air: A Personal Account of the Mt. Everest Disaster (buy from Amazon) by Jon Krakauer
Type: Adventurous
Author:Jon Krakauer
My rating: 4
Book introduction:
Jon Krakauer's recount of the 1996 tragic events on the mount Everest
My review:
A very tense description of a tragic events. 1996 was a year when many people died on the mount Everest due to a series of miscalculation and selfishness of some. It raised the question of whether professional tour guide's judgement is comprised because of the financial incentive from the client. Mount Everest deserves the highest respect, it is one of the places on Earth where human is at the mercy of nature. It is one of the places where many adventurers would die for .
The Climb: Tragic Ambitions on Everest
The Climb: Tragic Ambitions on Everest (buy from Amazon) by G. Weston Dewalt
Type: Adventurous
Author:Anatoli Boukreev, G. Weston Dewalt
My rating: 3
Book introduction:
Yet another book that covers the tragic event that happened in 1996 at Mount Everest. Anatoli Boukreev's defence to the unfavourable account of his conducts by Jon Krakauer in "Into thin air".
My review:
Having read both books, I must say I found Jon Krakauer's book somewhat biased and was unfair to Anatoli.
