iProA: Cloud Computing lunch seminar

I went to a lunch seminar at Cyberport organized by iProA, the topic was on "Cloud Computing Opportunity", the speak was Scott Houston, CEO of Intergrid, an New Zealand company. Key take away, Cloud computing is going to be big and bandwidth to support cloud is critical!

iProA lunch with Mr. Alan Siu

I have recently joined the Internet Professional Association (iProA) which is a well organized and well represented industry association representing the interests of the internet companies in Hong Kong. I was also invited to become an executive member, a new challenge that I gladly take on.

We had a lunch meeting with Mr. Alan Siu, Deputy Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development Bureau (Communications & Technology). During the lunch we talked about how the government can help the companies to protect and promote their creation and to commercialize some of the ideas generated from Universities, and how we are narrowing the gap of digital divide in Hong Kong.
